Consultation with Organizations

The Counseling Center staff is available to consult and serve as a liaison to different campus groups. We have relationships with a variety of offices, clubs, teams, and other student-focused organizations throughout campus; as such, we can help address issues like group dynamics, team building, and communication, and assist such groups in reaching their goals and providing improved service to our student body.

Let us know if you would like to invite us to consult or serve as a liaison to your campus group by contacting the Counseling Center at 828-262-3180.

Emergency Services

The Counseling Center offers after-hours emergency coverage for urgent mental health concerns such as suicidal thoughts, sexual assault, and other trauma.  Call the Counseling Center at 828-262-3180 and select the option to speak with the counselor on-call.
