People say college is suppose to be "the best time of your life."   You meet friends that last a lifetime, have fun, and discover the freedom to do whatever you want. But for many, adjusting to college life can be difficult. Many students are left feeling stressed, anxious, disconnected, and alone. In order to help students cope, the Counseling and Psychological Services Center at Appalachian State University is now offering several on-line screenings for a range of common emotional conditions that often go undiagnosed and are misunderstood. The Center welcomes you to the on-line screening for depression, alcohol and eating disorders. This free screening is made available to all ASU students and is taken anonymously. The screening is provided so that you may find out - in a few minutes - whether or not professional consultation would be helpful to you. Following your screening feel free to contact the Center for Walk-In hours in order to discuss your concerns and your screening results. Students can access the on-line screening by clicking HERE

The e-CHUG is an interactive web survey that allows college students to enter information about their drinking patterns and receive feedback about their use of alcohol. The assessment takes about 7 minutes to complete, is self-guided, and requires no face-to-face contact time with a counselor.  Click here for more information about e-CHUG.
