NOTE: Staff members of the Counseling and Psychological Services Center do not use e-mail to communicate confidential information.  Further, we cannot guarantee that e-mail messages will be read regularly or within a given period of time.  If you have a need to communicate about matters other than scheduling, please contact us either in-person (Counseling Center) or by phone (828-262-3180).  Do not contact us by e-mail in the case of an emergency.

GENERAL OFFICE HOURS
The Counseling Center is open between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. We are closed during official University Holidays

WALK-IN HOURS

During the Fall and Spring semesters, our walk-in hours are:

  • Monday- Thursay 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
  • Friday 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M.
  • Phone 262-3180 for possible morning hours

During the summer sessions, our walk-in hours vary. Please contact us at 262-3180 for more information.

The Counseling and Psychological Services Center will have the following schedule for Walk-In-Clinic for the summer:

  • Monday            10:00 am - 12:00 pm

                         3:00 pm -   4:00 pm

  • Tuesday            3:00 pm -   4:00 pm
  • Wednesday       1:00 pm -    4:00 pm
  • Thursday           1:00 pm -    4:00 pm
  • Friday                1:00 pm -    4:00 pm

  **Due to staff vacations students should contact us at 262-3180 to verify hours the day they wish to attend Walk-In-Clinic.

EMERGENCY SERVICES

The Counseling Center offers after-hours on-campus emergency coverage for trauma and life-threatening situations such as suicide and sexual assault. The after-hours emergency service is available during the Fall and Spring semesters when school is in session. To activate the system, call the Campus Police Department at 262-2150.
