We are delighted to serve the ASU community. We hope that you will see us as a hospitable resource. We are eager to serve you or help you get established in a satisfactory and healthy lifestyle. Our doors are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and we are available for emergency consultation after hours and on weekends when classes are in session. We take great pleasure in the quality of our center. We are accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS) the accrediting agency for higher education counseling services. Our predoctoral training program is accredited by the American Psychological Association. You've made a wonderful choice in coming to Appalachian State University. We wanted you to know it will be our pleasure to serve you. We are wishing you all the best in your time at ASU and beyond. We want to help you flourish during your time in Boone.

The Counseling Center offers after-hours emergency coverage for urgent mental health concerns such as suicidal thoughts, sexual assault, and other trauma. Call the Counseling Center at 828-262-3180 and select the option to speak with the counselor on-call.
During operating hours, students in crisis can walk in any time.
