Masters Application Forms
The Counseling Center has a prosperous training program for masters-level practitioners-in-training. We have had graduate students from Appalachian State University’s Department of Clinical Health Psychology, the Department of Human Development and Psychological Counseling and Social Work programs. We have also trained doctoral-level students seeking practicum experiences.

Applicants should make certain to submit an email copy and contact the Masters Level Training Coordinator to verify the application has been received. Applicants are requested to please print a copy of the completed application for personal records and possible submission should there be a problem with the original email submission.
The Counseling Center offers after-hours emergency coverage for urgent mental health concerns such as suicidal thoughts, sexual assault, and other trauma. Call the Counseling Center at 828-262-3180 and select the option to speak with the counselor on-call.
During operating hours, students in crisis can walk in any time.
