The Counseling Center staff and the Mental Health Ambassadors (opens in a new tab) are available to present educational and interactive programs and workshops on a variety of mental health topics. Our interactive programs are designed to raise awareness in regard to mental health as well as educate audiences about coping skills and other wellness behaviors. We welcome requests to present to classes, clubs, teams, residence halls, and other student organizations.
To request an outreach program, please submit the Outreach Program Request form (link below). Be prepared with your topic choice, group type and size, and the date, time, and location of your event. If you have questions or would like help with planning before you submit the request form, please contact us by emailing counseling@appstate.edu or calling us at (828)262-3180.
The Counseling Center offers after-hours emergency coverage for urgent mental health concerns such as suicidal thoughts, sexual assault, and other trauma. Call the Counseling Center at (828)262-3180 and select the option to speak with the counselor on-call.
