Counseling & Psychological Services Center's Online Screening

Early Intervention Team The Early Intervention Team is a faculty and staff-led entity, with consultation from Counseling and Psychological Services, the Student Wellness Center, the Institute for Health and Human Services, the Learning Assistance Program, the University College Academic Advising and Orientation Center and a number of other offices and Appalachian staff members. The team’s main function will be to meet with students who are showing signs of difficulty with university life and who have been referred by faculty, staff, or peers.

      Half of Us - mtvU and the Jed Foundation launched a campaign to raise awareness about the prevalence of mental health issues on campus and connect students to the appropriate resources to get help. Half of Us represents the reality that nearly half of all college students have felt so depressed they could not function. - Included at Half of Us are school-specific and national resources, an anonymous screening tool for a range of emotional disorders, and opportunities for interactivity and expression -
